1. How can I rent a car in Japan?

To rent a car in Japan, you need:


•  A valid driver's license (Please look at the section "Driving in Japan" for more information).

•  credit card for payment.                                                                         

 •  passport/resident card for identification (copies are not accepted).      

 





2. What are the age and driving experience requirements?


  •  GT-R: Minimum age of 27, and must hold a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.                     

•  All other vehicles: Minimum age of 24, and must hold a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.

 





3. Do I need to know Japanese to rent a car?


•  We provide multilingual support and customer service by text or call (10:00-

19:00 in EnglishJapanese, French, and Mandarin).

 •  We also provide additional guiding services in English, immersing yourself

in the car scene by sharing tips and knowledge about the car culture in Japan.






4. Are toll fees included in the rental price?


Toll fees for expressways are not included in the rental price. You will need to

pay tolls directly at toll booths or use an ETC card (recommended). You can

either bring your own ETC card or rent one with us as an option.

 






5. How do I pay for tolls in Japan?


•  ETC Card: Rent an ETC card or bring your own for an easy toll payment

experience.

•  Physical payment: If you're not using ETC, you will need to pay in cash or

credit card at toll booths.

 






6. What is the fuel policy?


• Full-to-full: You will receive the car with a full tank of gas and should return

it with a full tank.

• Fuel charges: If you return the car with less fuel, you will be charged a

refueling fee (¥250/L + ¥3300 service fee). 

 





7. Do you deliver the cars?


It may be possible depending on your location, please contact us for more

details.

 






8. Can I drop off the car at a different location?


No, please drop off the car at our main office.

 





9. What happens in case of an accident?


•  Contact us immediately. If we are closed, call the Insurance directly, the

number is indicated in the departure vehicle inspection document.

    •  Insurance coverage: The rental insurance will cover damage of the vehicle.

    Please note Applying for CDW is mandatory for visitors and optional for those with a Japanese driving license.

    • Police Report: In case of accidents, you must to file a police report. (Includes

    minor accidents or the insurance will not cover the claim.You will be fully

    responsible for all compensation and liabilities).
