Only JDM Self-Drive Tour: Night Run to Daikoku PA

Daikoku Parking Area, Japan’s most famous car meet, has no train station and no walk-in access: you can only enter by car. The Only JDM Self-Drive Tour puts you behind the wheel of a real JDM car in a guided convoy from Haneda (5 pm departure) to Daikoku PA, A PIT Autobacs and a Tokyo Tower photo stop. From JPY 55,000 per car.

Why a tour instead of a plain rental

You could rent solo (see Rent JDM Sports Cars in Japan), but the tour solves the three things first-timers struggle with: knowing where the scene actually happens on a given night, expressway navigation in Japanese, and getting into Daikoku PA, which sits inside a highway interchange. You drive your own car the whole way; a lead car handles the route.

Good to know

  • You must be legally allowed to drive in Japan. Documents: Passport + Home licence, plus an IDP (1949 Geneva Convention) or certified Japanese translation.
  • Self-drive, convoy format. Departure at 5 pm from Haneda.

Tokyo JDM tour FAQ

Can tourists visit Daikoku PA without a car?
Effectively no. Daikoku PA sits inside the Bayshore Route interchange with no pedestrian access, so a self-drive tour is the practical way in for visitors.
Do I drive myself on the tour?
Yes. Every guest drives their own rental in a guided convoy. This is not a passenger tour.
What documents do I need?
Same as any rental: Passport + Home licence, plus a 1949 Geneva IDP, or a certified Japanese translation for France/Germany/Switzerland/Belgium/Taiwan/Monaco.
When do car meets happen at Daikoku?
Tours are available 7 days a week, day and night. The best time is weekend nights.
