Why a tour instead of a plain rental
You could rent solo (see Rent JDM Sports Cars in Japan), but the tour solves the three things first-timers struggle with: knowing where the scene actually happens on a given night, expressway navigation in Japanese, and getting into Daikoku PA, which sits inside a highway interchange. You drive your own car the whole way; a lead car handles the route.
Good to know
- You must be legally allowed to drive in Japan. Documents: Passport + Home licence, plus an IDP (1949 Geneva Convention) or certified Japanese translation.
- Self-drive, convoy format. Departure at 5 pm from Haneda.
